We use an anti-sulphate solution for brickwork jobs to stabilise the salts and prevent them from contaminating the new plaster. Afterwards, the brickwork will be protected with lightweight renovating plaster and the wall will be skim plaster finished.

3. Penetrating Damp

Excessive rainwater, outdated brickwork, and leaking gutters and pipes can cause damp to puncture your walls. The increased dampness and humidity levels can cause mould, heat loss, and even musty smells.

The first step to correcting penetrating damp is to first determine the source of water ingress into the property. Once the main entry point has been remedied, other issues such as structural damage and wet or dry rot can then be addressed.
